3rd International Conference on Sensitivity Research – Call for Submissions

Call for Submissions     

The 3rd International Conference on Sensitivity Research will take place on May 23^rd 2025 at the University of Surrey, United Kingdom (a 30min train ride from London).

The one-day conference on sensitivity (highly sensitive person, sensory processing sensitivity, environmental sensitivity) will feature presentations on recent research on sensitivity, a poster session, a panel discussion, as well as plenty of opportunities to interact and network, including an optional dinner.

Besides an exciting invited programme (to be announced in early 2025), we welcome submission of abstracts for a limited number of talks and posters on any recent research on sensitivity.

Submission Guidelines

• Presentation Types:
  • You can submit abstracts for either a talk or a poster:
    • Talks: 15-minute presentation followed by 5-minute Q&A
    • Posters: Interactive poster session in the afternoon
  • Please indicate in your submission whether your abstract is for a talk or a poster
  • If submitting an abstract for a talk, please indicate whether you would like your abstract to be automatically considered for a poster presentation, in case it is not selected for a talk (there is a limited number of slots available for talks).
• Abstract Requirements for Talks and Posters:
  • Length: Maximum of 300 words
  • Structure:
    1. Title: Provide a concise yet informative title (no more than 10 words)
    2. Authors: List all authors and their affiliations
    3. Presenting author: Indicate the presenting author
    4. Background: Provide the context of your research
    5. Methods: Briefly describe the methodologies used
    6. Results: Summarise key findings
    7. Conclusion: Highlight the implications and significance of your research findings
  • Deadline for Submission: January 24^th 2025

Key Information

• All abstracts will be peer-reviewed by the scientific committee regarding originality, relevance, and scientific rigour.
• We will only consider empirical research and prioritise new and unpublished findings (or findings published recently since May 2024).
• We can only consider presentations for in-person delivery (no remote delivery).
• Authors of accepted abstracts must register for the conference to present their work.

Submission Process

Please submit your abstract as a PDF or word document via email to events@sensitivityresearch.com by January 24^th 2025. We will inform about the outcome of the peer-review evaluation by mid February 2025.
