Expertise

I study genetic, environmental and combined contributions to development of empathy and prosocial behavior, using diverse methodologies. I also investigate how values develop across contexts, cultures, and families, including genetic influences. Another line of research concerns parent-child and child-parent influences, particularly how children’s temperament predicts how parents react to them.
