Elaine Fox

(Ph.D., Prof.)

Expertise

I am interested in why some people are more vulnerable to challenging and adverse environments and why some are more resilient. My work investigates the cognitive, social, and genetic factors that may be involved and we are particularly interested in identifying both risk and protective factors. A particular interest is in how mental flexibility enhances a person’s ability to cope with a dynamic and changeable world.
