Neus Vidal Barrantes

(Dr)

Expertise

I specialize in person-environment sensitivity in mental health. My research explores how genetic, environmental, and psychological factors interact to shape risk and resilience, especially in the psychosis spectrum. I use mobile-based assessments to study how daily experiences impact symptoms and wellbeing.

I’m particularly interested in how adversity and positive environments influence sensitivity, leading to different outcomes—from vulnerability to resilience. I lead a research group at Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and collaborate on national and international projects. My aim is to reframe sensitivity as a strength and opportunity for recovery.
