Expertise

I am an academic and clinician with training and knowledge in sensory processing sensitivity (SPS) from philosophical, psychological, and phenomenological perspectives. My work integrates conceptual foundations with applied research, exploring how heightened sensitivity influences perception, cognition, and emotional processes.

I served as the Principal Investigator for a recent study published in Frontiers in Psychology (2024) that focused on the cross-cultural adaptation and validation of the Spanish Sensory Processing Sensitivity Questionnaire (S-SPSQ).

Through my teaching, supervision, and interdisciplinary collaborations with international scholars, I am dedicated to advancing sensitivity research across diverse cultural and clinical contexts, aiming to develop approaches that improve wellbeing and outcomes for highly sensitive persons.
