Becky Black
Expertise
I am a graduate teaching assistant and tutor, research assistant, and PhD candidate at the University of Melbourne, Australia. I have been researching sensitivity and wellbeing since 2017.My research has found that sensitive individuals (who score low on neuroticism) report higher levels of wellbeing across a variety of domains (as compared with other study participants). In-depth interviews further revealed what flourishing sensitive individuals do to maintain their wellbeing, e.g., regular experiences of solitude, connecting with nature, self-compassion practice, self-awareness, and mindfulness — among others.
