My work demonstrates that differences in physiological reactions to laboratory challenges moderate the effect of children’s family experiences on child, parent, and teacher reports of adaptation and on direct assessments of self-regulation.

I investigate physiological response as a dynamic process and study how stress physiology can contribute to children’s resilience.
