Expertise
My multiperspective, mixed-methods research focuses on Sensory Processing Sensitivity in children aged 3–6. After validating the HSC-PR in German and Italian with a large sample, I explore how SPS interacts with individual, family, and kindergarten-related factors to shape children’s well-being and development during the kindergarten transition (through longitudinal parent and teacher questionnaires). Finally, I conduct narrative interviews with children to reconstruct both explicit and implicit dimensions of their lived experiences using the Documentary Method. My findings aim to inform pedagogical practices that better support highly sensitive children.
