I am interested in understanding why children in seemingly similar circumstances vary in their developmental outcomes. In particular, I study individual differences in environmental sensitivity especially as it relates to variations in child temperament. My research focuses on interactions between variations in child temperament and parent or caregiver characteristics and behaviors primarily using statistical methods that go beyond aggregate mean differences to capture heterogeneity in developmental patterns.
