Expertise

I am a behavioral biologist with expertise in behavioral endocrinology. I am interested in environmental sensitivity since I have spent many years studying animal and human developmental plasticity, especially from a behavioral endocrinological point of view.

Right now, we have a longitudinal studying focusing on the effects of early life exposure to endocrine disruptors through breastfeeding. We are collecting data on attachment and carrying out follow ups to study children’s behavioral and cognitive development.

The rationale for also studying sensitivity in this context is that we know from both animal models and the human literature that one target of these chemicals is arousability and emotionality.
