Expertise

My work focuses on the continued development of theory and concept of Sensory Processing Sensitivity (SPS), particularly high sensitivity, and its measurement with the Highly Sensitive Person (HSP) and the Highly Sensitive Child (HSP) Scales.

I am also particularly interested in brain activation studies and other experimental research, including survey research, research investigating the link between high SPS and personal relationships, as well as its relation to parenting, and research exploring the clinical uses of the concept.

In addition, I dedicate my time to mentoring researchers when possible, and to the dissemination of research.
