My research focuses on the influence of Environmental Sensitivity (ES) on emotion and cognition, particularly emotion processing and emotion regulation in adulthood and childhood. I am also interested in the effects of hyper-empathy on attention and social behaviour. In research featuring adult populations the focus is on life quality and any correlation between sensitivity and psychological diseases. Finally, I am particularly interested in the biological mechanisms -genetic, hormonal, neural correlates- underlying ES.
