(PhD Student)

Expertise

I am a doctoral student studying how children’s and adolescents’ sensitivity interacts with environmental factors to influence mental health. My research seeks to identify protective and risk factors to reduce difficulties for highly sensitive youth and to help them view sensitivity as a strength. My master’s thesis examined the effect of sensory processing sensitivity on nightmares through trait anxiety, with maternal parenting as a moderator. In my doctoral work, I aim to refine measurement tools and further investigate how digital environments affect highly sensitive children.
