My area of research is focused on socio-affective development, multisensory body perception and affective touch in early infancy and across the lifespan. By using behavioral, psychophysiological and neuroimaging techniques, my studies aim to investigate the affective-motivational dimension of touch and its role in modulating the development of self-regulation mechanisms, affective boundaries and social cognition.
