Expertise

My main domain of expertise is emotional intelligence. I am currently conducting a project financed by the Swiss National Science Foundation on the relationship between emotional intelligence and emotional hypersensitivity. More specifically, in my current research I am measuring emotional hypersensitivity with emotion-information processing tasks (such as the dot-probe task), and am particularly interested to see how self-perceived hypersensitivity (measured using sensitivity self-report measures) relates to how individuals process emotion information. I am also applying the concept of hypersensitivity to the domain of vocational education and training, in particular with respect to understanding how hypersensitive teachers and trainers could manage the relationship with apprentices.
