My research focuses on medically unexplained physical symptoms and syndromes (e.g. chronic fatigue syndrome), including studies into predictors (such as personality, cognitive and affective factors) and intervention studies; Chronic somatic diseases (e.g. Rheumatoid Arthritis) with an emphasis upon the development and evaluation of psychological interventions targeting Quality of Life and self-management.
